The humpback whale migrations from the Northern and Southern Hemispheres to warm Costa Rican waters provides awesome whale watching opportunities against a backdrop of rich and vibrant coastline
Tres Niñas Coastal Tours offers whale watching tours during select months from the Manuel Antonio National Park area near the Marina Ballena National Park off the coast of Uvita/Dominical.
The gentle giants are certainly breathtaking to behold and to see whales in their natural environment is a powerful experience that underlines the importance of conservation efforts to safeguard biodiversity, ecosystems and species for future generations. Tres Niñas Coastal Tours offers whale watching tours in 25 ft. or 27 ft. center console boats which minimize disturbance to wildlife yet maximize viewing and photography opportunities
The tour will either start at 7AM or 1PM which ever you choose. The tour will commence in front of iFish in Marina Pez Vela where your guide will meet you and escort you to the boat down on the docks. From there you will embark on a scenic cruise of the Manuel Antonio/Quepos Coastline in search of the beautiful whales that migrate to our waters every year. It is a magnificent sight to see such a big sea creature so close to shore and your boat. This tour will truly not disappoint. After cruising around and getting pictures of whales you can enjoy the nice scenery on the way back to the marina where your guide will drop you off.
Northern humpbacks typically start to arrive in Costa Rica in December and can be seen until around April, while southern ones don't show up until later in July and stay until the beginning of November.
This tour includes up to 4 people. An additional $110 person up to 7 passengers.
